Root Coverage
- Sometimes the gum moves back from the crown, the root gets visible on sight, and in such situations it is often desirable to re-cover the root surface. The primary reason for performing root coverage is cosmetics, but it is also done if there is problem of root sensitivity. Root coverage surgery is also designed to correct the problem if there is a lack of attached gum tissue.
