Direct / Indirect Restorations
-
When the fabrication is completed inside the mouth and doesn't use a dental laboratory, they are called direct restorations. Direct restorations are completed in a single dental appointment and hence they don’t require temporary restoration. This restoration is called Dental filling in which the fillings are made from silver or composite resin which is used to fill the dental cavities formed due to decay. After the damaged or decayed tissue is removed, the tooth is neatly cleaned and prepared and the filling in placed in cavity, shaped and also hardened. As the procedure completes, the tooth restoration is successful and the patient may return to routine activities.
